Meet Your Therapist

Colleen (O’Donnell) Sarrazin, M.S., CCC-SLP

Hi! I’m Colleen, owner of Little Palm Speech and Feeding Therapy. I’m a pediatric speech-language pathologist that has been working in the field for over 10 years, with a specialization in early language and feeding. I received my Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Miami University (i.e. Miami of Ohio), and my Master of Science in Communication Science and Disorders from Florida State University.

Since graduating, I’ve worked in settings including private practice clinics, the top rated in-home therapy provider in Chicago (Chicago Speech Therapy), and pediatric outpatient rehabilitation (Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, Hollywood, FL), both in Chicago and South Florida. I knew I wanted to work with infants and toddlers early on, and was awarded the Traineeship in Interdisciplinary Early Intervention in Severe Disabilities grant in graduate school.

I have my Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCs) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and am a licensed speech-language pathologist in the state of Florida. I also have experience supervising graduate student clinicians and clinical fellows, and enjoy providing mentorship for therapists entering the field.

Through all of my experience diagnosing and treating children with a wide variety of speech, language, and feeding delays and disorders across different treatment settings, I have found that I have the greatest impact when I am able to make a connection with the family, and bring evidence-based approaches directly into the home for the family to implement. I’m passionate about supporting families in the home environment to help nurture their child’s language and feeding development. This is why I started Little Palm Speech & Feeding Therapy. I knew that when I returned from maternity leave after having my first daughter, and relocated to Palm Beach Gardens, that I wanted to offer the convenience and benefits of in-home therapy to families in my community.

I also created and run the blog BabbleBites, bringing you tips from a licensed pediatric speech-language pathologist on how to support your baby’s speech & feeding development, from first babbles to first bites.

Outside of work…

When I’m not working, you can find me somewhere outside with my daughter and husband! We love to do yoga, scuba dive, go to the beach, surf, swim, play tennis, travel, and ski (both in the water and the snow!).
